My weakness is that I am really not patient because I have a very short attention span and if am waiting to do a certain thing or writing to film somethings then I become fixated on that thing until I do that as well s that goes for my endurance to do something if I am not enjoying the thing that am doing then I become uninterested and I abandon the thing that I am doing. Another weakness is that I have limited mobility due to the fact that I do not drive and only my dad drives and he is at work a lot   so I am limited to where I can be and go and the time that I spend there. Also my memory is not bad but also not good because I have certain things or topics that I know ever detail about but others I am very forgetful and that depends on how much I do the certain thing if I spend a lot of time on it then I learnt and remember more and more about the subject.

I only have a small amount of opportunities that are local or atlas the ones that I know of such as in my town there is a local photographer who I could shadow because he does all of the local photography advertisements for events and business. As well as I have a few friends how do photography professional and as a hobby I could ask these friends who they know in the trade and go from there.

There are a few threats in this trade because I know that media is a very comparative business and every one is trying to out do everyone else so it is very cooperative and this business in very hard to get into in my area because there is not a lot of work going for photography or video editing and production apart from the occasional piece.


What actions I am going to take

Strengths

The actions that I will take are that I will continue on improving on these skills and expanding them as well as I will look for ways to increase the list of strengths as well as I will look for a job that complements these skills and would help me expand them. I will look to improve my skills in time keeping as well as expanding my knowledge to come up with more creative concepts and ideas. I will do this because keeping time is a very important skill and if I master it it will make me more desirable to a employer.

The actions I will take to improve on my skills because they are in some ways very important to the roles that I will partake in such as patience depending on what area of photography I go into patience is a very important because if I end up doing some thing wildlife related this skill would be very helpful and necessary but if I was going into product advertisement then it would not be as important but still regardless of what I go into it is till important such as waiting for clients footage or waiting on a response so from this point I will do what I can to improve these.

I will manage my patience and try to increase my stamina so I could be out for longer on shoots or the patience could be more useful because I could need more patience for how long it could take for me to get work which potentially could take a long time so if I have more patience then it would help me in the long run. As well as depending on what type of photography I could go down ideally I would like to do diorama or land scape photography.But if I need to do wildlife photography to get the animals or to get the right shot It would take a while so I would need patience. I will do this before the end of this Course because I plan on going straight in to photography and I believe that this would be a very useful skill to help improve myself and my work as a photographer which I believe Is important and I believe that this is very attainable and realistic if I set my mind to it which I will because I understand that it would help me in the long run with my work and things outside of that.

My name is Thomas Fletcher and i am an 18 year old aspiring photographer and graphical designer with experienced in working with different forms of camera and works best when given a brief to follow.

My main skills is my creativity i can always find a way to make my pieces bolder and exiting to look at and to keep the audience engaged.

My skills includes photography (I am familiar with the equipment and have a working understanding of photography) graphics and video based editing all of which i have studied and put my skill in to practice over the course of three years. And i have used all of this to complete brief based projects over the three years.

I am currently looking for work as a free lance photographer doing landscape and advertisement or if the opportunity came up I would appeal for a video and graphics editor position if the opportunity presented itself.

I would look at websites like Gurushots Because it is full of young aspiring artists and photographer as well as casuals which I am aspiring to b this website is also good for opportunities because if you win a commotion then you have the chance to enter your pieces into magazines as well as potentially a gallery and have your pieces presented to the publics and critics alike which Is a good and efficient way to get your work out there as well as gain experience.

These are good because if I wanted to look into a topic that the picture that I am interested in then I could through labels such as if I was interested in aircraft then I could select that label and it would take me to that section and show me more of that as well as this section is very specific and covers all possibility . Such as it give me options like Aircraft then Military aircraft then air plane and aviation . Which Is hand if you just want a specific section or theme from a picture.

As well as I looked through this page and I noticed that it tells you what equipment that the artist used such as this one tells me what camera he used as well as what sense he used. Also this tells me what setting that he used such as lighting frame rate and more. Which is very good and helpful in my opinion because it shows you how the picture was made and it gives you rides for if you wanted to recreate the picture.

Another good feature is that it shows you the artist Name and location making the site fell more personal and it makes ti seem like this site is being used by actual people with some skill as well as there location is good because it shows you that your piece has been shown around the world and makes it easier to show what the user demographic of this site is. As well as it is good because if you like this artists work then you could just visit his page easier. Question : What past experiences that you have had that could help you with this position.

Answer : I have had many chances for experience opportunities over the last 3 years whilst I have been at the college of west anglia kings Lynn.I have done work for there on site production team Springboard TV where I would get given tasks to help improve the live streams they produce weakly or they would be advertisement pieces. Such as in my first I made an advert about a product that we got to think up then plan and produce it in which I was lead planner and editor the piece then later went on to be used as in there intermission breaks during live streams.

Answer : When I was doing this as the main planner so I had to find the location in the end we used the sports centre in kings Lynn as well as I filled out all of the planning documents which was good because it helped me build a working understanding of them which is good.As well as I was the main editor so I went through the clips and looked at all of the effects and takes we did then matched them together so that we came out with a. project the we were all happy with.



Question : how has that helped you

Answer : It helped me massively being at the college of west anglia I learnt on how to make and fill out production documents which is a good skill and a transferable skill which is very god for where very I go or end up as well as the editing skill has helped me because it taught me how to use colour grading and correction because I was inexperienced with camera at the time so the edit was important but I still believed that I pulled it off.

But at the moment I am currently studying at the College of West Anglia King Lynn doing my third year of college I have completed level 2 media and I am now in my third year of college studying level three second year. 

As I said i am studying media level 3 in second year where I am homing my skills for video editing and photography and I believe that these skills could be useful to you. In lucasiflm I know that you have a lot of work weather it is in animation for the Clone wars / Resistance or weather it would be live action for the next instalment for the Star Wars saga or for the Mandalorian. I am sure a lot o f work goes on back stage where I am sure I could be of use weather it would be as a video editor or as a photographer because no matter what the project Is there is a need for advertisement which a photographer comes into its element. As well as I am sure that a video editor is useful due to how much work goes into each project that you produce.

I have lots of experience doing photography and video editing because I have done three years of brief based projects as well as I have done several pieces of work experience for other people to help develop my skills. I have done some diorama toy photography wild life and landscape photography for projects and for clients. There are a lot of pros and cons in social media in a work place because social media could either male or break your company because it could help your staff relate o each other and work better together . On the other hand it could ruin people life there moral and there workplace. Such as Nintendo believe that social media is good and I personally believe that social media for gaming companies is a necessity because it is a perfect way to build hype around a product connect with there fan base and make a lot of money due to teaser announcements or brand deals / crossovers. There is also a lot of risk with there use of social media because it could cause controversy on there products they release including there prices and how good the content they release. As well as social media Is a very judge places and for bigger companies the could cause issues such as when Nintendo was fighting back a social media influencers and content creators for featuring there games on there youtube and twitch channels saying that they should not profit of these games because they are not the creators of the game causing controversy and back lash to the company.As well as the time that Nintendo tried to have "Super Mario 64" as it was known was attempted to be removed from the internet by Nintendo by copyright claiming and removing ad revenue of of videos and streams , due to the fact that is was a very popular modification of the original 1996 game.In conclusion my verdict is that social media can do a lot of wrong form a personal standpoint and form a business stand point but the main issues with Nintendo are company rather than marketing  . But regardless of that social media could do a lot of good from a company perspective due to the amount of money available to make.
